How much does it cost?
PAWS Chicago and Tree House Animal Foundation both have very similar Feral Cat Packages, about $26/cat, this covers:anesthesia, rabies vaccination, PCR vaccination (also called distemper), penicillin (antibiotics) , revolution (flea and tick treatment), pain medication, ear-tipping, cleaning and treating of any wounds. There are additional costs for virus testing (FIV/FeLV) and microchipping.
Cook County TNR ordinace requires all colony caretakers to microchip their feral cats. Animal Care and Control will euthanize feral cats unless they can contact the colony caretaker. **This has happened to us many times!!**
